Pallet Rack Installation and Maintenance

Installation:

  • Read all the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Measure the space where the pallet rack will be installed and determine the dimensions and capacity requirements for the racks
  • Check if all the components are in good shape and ensure other tools, such as tape measure, anchors, string line, shims, drill, etc., are available
  • Organize all the components to be easily within reach when needed
  • Mark where each beam will be slotted
  • After completing the staging process, install the bottom rear pallet rack beam
  • After installing the first beam, install the second beam above the first beam
  • Install the front two beams at the same level as the top rear beam level and ensure that the beam is fully inserted into both upright frames
  • Install the bottom front pallet rack beam at the same beam level as the bottom rear beam and add your wire decking.

Maintenance:

  • Inspect the pallet racks, components, and accessories regularly to ensure they are not damaged by forklifts, accidents, or wrong pallet placement. If you notice any damaged components, replace them immediately.
  • Do not overload the rack. Always adhere to load capacity.
