Drive-in & Drive-Thru Pallet Racking

Drive-in and drive-through pallet racking systems are high-density rack solutions. These racks allow a vehicle drive-in access to products being stored. The only difference between drive-in and drive-through pallet rack systems is in the way the pallets are stocked and picked.

The drive-in system only allows loading and unloading pallets on one side of the racks. The lift truck raises the load to the height of the rail and places it in the specified storage location. Drive-in pallet racking is designed for last-in, first-out inventory(LIFO), so it is best suited for non-date-sensitive products.

On the other hand, the drive-through pallet racking system allows the loading of pallets on one side and the unloading of pallets on the opposite side. The truck does this by driving into racks themselves. The drive-through pallet racking system is best suited for first-in, first-out (FIFO) systems, so it is ideal for time-sensitive and perishable products.

  • All uprights and beams
  • Shelves or decking
  • A chalk line
  • A tape measure

  • A lifting device

Instructions

  • Before anything, you first need to read the installation guide that came with the product. Instructions may vary with different manufacturers, so this step is essential.
