Push back pallet racking is a high-density storage solution for warehouses that want to optimize their storage space. Push back pallet racks store pallets between two and six deep on both sides of an aisle. It is ideal for warehouses with limited storage space.
One of the main benefits of push back racking is that it has just one loading and unloading area at the front of the structure.
Push back pallet racks store pallets on wheeled carts arranged in stacks on inclined storage rails. To load the system, a pallet is placed on the top cart. Subsequently, a forklift pushes the pallet to the back of the rack, revealing a cart beneath it. The process continues until all carts are used, with the final pallet resting on the rails. As pallets are removed, the rear pallets automatically move forward to fill the newly empty front position.
Push back racks with shuttles use shuttles that move on rails with a slight incline within the racking system. As a pallet is loaded onto the shuttle, the shuttle pushes it back into the racking system, and when it is retrieved, it pulls the pallet forward to the front of the racking system.
Push back racks with rollers use rollers mounted on the structure with a slight incline. As a pallet is loaded onto the rollers, it slides back into the racking system. It is less automated than push back racks with shuttles, so the operator will manually load and unload pallets.
You can customize your push back pallet racking system to suit your needs and optimize your storage and warehouse operations. Accessories include pallet guides, profiles, and backstops to prevent material damage and enhance safety of the workers.
